Character: HBP Ch.1 spoiler-ish again

Figure 1 shows the male and female dementors. Censored for the good of humanity. Today we shall study mating habits.



So just how do Dementors breed??
One theory is that they do a reverse kiss. Instead of sucking out the souls of their date victim, they place a sort of parasite inside the victim that convert the victims organs into a brand new Dementor! This new little baby pops out and automatically assumes the host is their mother. Unfortunately, this action kills the host/parent and traumatized the child Dementor for life, forcing them into a vicious cycle of making everyone else around them miserable like them.



Another theory is that they breed like fish. A female lays eggs and finds a suitable male to fertilize said eggs.



However, all theories are incorrect. You see, Dementors are like plants. Chop a piece off and add water.

When a dementor dies, it pops in a cloud of spores then they grow from the ground like daisies. ....That actually makes sense (more sense than planting a hand).
